Oral history interview with Jeri Fegan, 2007 December 7.

Fegan contracted polio at age 4 and was treated at Blank and Broadlawns hospitals in Des Moines. She talks about the multiple health problem and disabilities she's had due to polio; undergoing spinal surgery at the University of Minnesota by Dr. David Bradford; her lengthy post-surgical recuperation; various incidents in her childhood; her abusive marriage; post-polio syndrome and a polio survivors support group.

The State Library of Iowa hired Kate Scott to coordinate an oral history project to document the history and impact of polio in Iowa.
